Former Twitter CEO Dick Costolo finally revealed his next big project on Tuesday after half-a-year of relative quiet. The comedian-turned-tech exec says he’s working on a revolutionary new fitness-focused software platform.
“We’re building a software platform that reimagines the path to personal fitness,” he said in a note shared on Twitter. “This platform will go beyond measurement to motivate and drive improvement and make the road to personal transformation fun and social.”

Costolo says that the new software is for fitness coaches, physical therapists, nutritionists and other wellness professionals. He also claims it will be “the easiest and more flexible way to extend expertise and guidance” at a large scale.” We’re curious to see what the new project looks like. It sounds like Costolo has some pretty bold plans, and hopefully we’ll learn more soon.
Additionally, the former Twitter CEO announced that he’s joining Index Ventures as a venture partner. His job there will mostly focus on investing in new companies and helping them grow.
